Walk the Way, Feel the Waves
A quiet guesthouse on the north coast of Portugal, 30 minutes from Porto.
Where the Path Meets the Sea
Step by Step Atlantic is a guesthouse on the north coast of Portugal, created for people travelling - whether with a backpack on the Camino de Santiago or a surfboard under their arm.
Located on the Portuguese Coastal Path in Azurara Vila do Conde, just a few steps from the Atlantic, our guesthouse is a place to slow down, rest and reconnect - with the sea, with the path and with yourself.
Simple, authentic and connected to nature. A meeting point between land and sea.

For Pilgrims
O Coastal Path passes right outside our door. Here, pilgrims find a peaceful stop along the Way - private rooms, hot showers and a calm atmosphere to rest and recover before the next stage.
For surf lovers
The beach in front of our guesthouse has consistent waves and few people in the water. We believe that surfing should be learnt step by step - calmly, progressively and with respect for the ocean.
Lessons for all levels. Instructors with over 30 years' experience at sea.

For Slow Travellers
Not everyone comes walking or surfing. Some come just to stop - wake up without rushing, spend the day between the beach and the terrace, have a restful dinner and do it again.
50 metres from the sea, far from the noise, this is a place for slow days.
